I am a Nutrition Advisor specialising in the Low Carb and Ketogenic Way of Eating. I am a trainee Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. It is my mission to help people find health, vitality and well-being, through real food and a low carb, high fat (LCHF) and Ketogenic way of eating.
I have reduced 4 Stone ( 56lbs / 25kgs)
In April 2017 I was 53 years old at my heaviest weight and had no intention of going on a diet. I believed I had no will power and couldn't make changes. I suffered with migraines. I struggled to move around, bend down, climb the stairs and other daily tasks. I was often tired, lethargic and unmotivated. I didn't want to diet because I felt I couldn't and I didn't have the will-power needed to diet.
Then I learned the secret - it isn't about will-power. Once I started to make changes to my diet and lifestyle, I found it easy enough to do and I started to lose weight. At the same time my health improved: my blood pressure dropped, migraines reduced significantly, joint pains disappeared. I could climb the stairs, move easily and get around. My mood improved and I started to feel great. I have learned that many health challenges can be put down to diet and lifestyle.
I feel better in my 50s than I did in my 20s.
